CATHETER INTRA-OPERATING SCLEROTHERAPY IN THE COMPLEX MEDICAL TREATMENT OF VARICOSE VEINS DISEASE

The aim – improvement of the catheter intra-operating sclerotherapy (IOST) methods.
Materials and methods. Since the year 2008 till 2009 catheter intra-operating sclerotherapy combined with cross-ectomy was used in
the treatment of 22 patients whose 28 lower extremities were operated. Phleboscleroobliteration was conducted with the help of
«Sclerovein». The reason to use the method was stated on the fact of insufficiency of ostial valves with varicose subcutaneous veins during different stages of the disease, including complicated forms of it.
Results and discussion. During a control duplex blood pool scanning which was made in 3 months after operating the full occlusion
of ways was kept. In a year vein trunks were not fixed.
Conclusions. Catheter intra-operating sclerotherapy combined with cross-ectomy make possible to achieve effectiveness in the
process of operating patients who have varicose veins disease. Moreover, catheter intra-operating sclerotherapy combined with crossectomy make possible to abate traumas. In the result, the patient can stay at the hospital only 1 day. Phleboscleroobliteration used with
sclero foam provide a qualified fibrous transformation of modified veins. In future it leads to the full and constant occlusion.
